CCUSA Healthy Housing Initiative (Year One Report)

The CCUSA Healthy Housing Initiative (HHI) pilot program combines healthcare and housing services in five cities to help the chronically homeless get off and remain off the streets.  

Summary

The five-year Healthy Housing Initiative has been piloted in five cities – Detroit, Las Vegas, Portland (Oregon), St. Louis and Spokane – where Catholic Charities staff are developing housing units, cultivating partnerships with Catholic healthcare systems, training case managers and engaging clients.

Leaders within the participating Catholic Charities agencies and several CCUSA staff members invested significant time planning, preparing and laying the critical groundwork to launch the HHI pilot in January 2020.
