Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) is grateful for and accepts donations from individuals as well as corporations and foundations. We also accept planned gifts, gifts in kind and offer a variety of other giving methods.

4. Corporate Matching
Expand the impact of your contribution! Matching gifts from your employer can expand the impact of your contribution. To find out if your company or your spouse’s company offers a matching gift program, contact your company’s human resources department for the necessary forms. After you complete the required information, return the form to our Development Department, or send it with your contribution.
5. Tribute and Memorial
You can make a donation in honor or in memory of a family member, friend, an individual, or in recognition of a special occasion. Memorial gifts express what words alone cannot and provide important support for CCUSA. We have a couple options available for Tribute/Memorial Gifts:
- Contact CCUSA’s Development Department at donations@catholiccharitiesusa.org to set-up a gift program memorializing the loss of a loved one.
- If you would like CCUSA to send a hard copy mailed tribute, please print and mail our tribute form with your donation to: Catholic Charities USA P.O Box 17066 Baltimore, MD 21297-1066
Please note: CCUSA is unable to mail hard-copy tributes for donations made online. Where possible, electronic tributes/memorials are the most efficient and environmentally friendly way to make a donation in honor of an individual or occasion.
6. Gifts through Wills and Estates
A gift through your estate ensures that your commitment to ending poverty will continue beyond your lifetime, having a lasting impact on CCUSA’s work to serve those in need. Information on the most common donation options can be found here and include;
- Distributing your IRA;
- Giving CCUSA an insurance gift;
- Naming CCUSA as a beneficiary of your IRA or Retirement Plan; and
- Naming CCUSA in your will.
7. Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds
Stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, especially those with long-term capital gain, are popular gift assets because they may generate multiple tax benefits. These benefits include a charitable income tax deduction of the stock, bond, or mutual fund’s market value on the date the asset is received by CCUSA and no capital gains tax on the appreciation. Talk to your accountant or financial advisor about the benefits such a gift may provide for you.
Most stocks are transferred electronically. Share the following information with your stock broker or financial advisor to ensure your gift is transferred to CCUSA, or have your broker contact us if there is a question.

Depreciated Stock: Have your stocks, bonds, or mutual funds declined in value? If so, you may find there is an advantage to selling the stock, bond or mutual fund, recognizing a loss, and then contributing the cash proceeds of the sale to Catholic Charities. Talk to your accountant or financial advisor about the best option for you.
8. CFC
Catholic Charities USA is approved for participation in the Combined Federal Campaign. Federal, military, and postal employees may designate their payroll deduction contribution by marking 10674 on their CFC pledge card.

9. Vehicle Donation
Vehicle donations provide a great way to support the mission of CCUSA. You may donate your vehicle in any condition and from any location. Turn your car into a contribution by calling (877) 952-2872 to donate. Our representative will answer your questions and schedule a pickup of your vehicle at a time that is convenient for you.

CCUSA is in no way associated with this phishing scheme and we recommend that you do not engage with this email and do not click on any links within the email itself.
