The second edition of CCUSA’s “Converting Surplus Church Property into Affordable Housing” guide examines two new project profiles and their different approaches to successful site acquisition. The first profile features a “joint venture” conversion completed by two Catholic Charities agencies and two dioceses. The second examines the conversion of underutilized real church property into affordable housing in a way that broadens the definition of surplus church property.
