A New Moment: Envisioning the Ministry of Catholic Charities articulates a new chapter in the important work of our church as we continue to respond to the needs of people who are vulnerable.
The Catholic Charities commitment to love our neighbors who struggle as they live under the weight of poverty in this rich nation was first articulated in our Charter of 1910, expanded upon in the Cadre Report and deepened in Vision 2000.
In 2017, A New Moment: Envisioning the Ministry of Catholic Charities, identified Catholic Charities USA’s national strategic priorities for the five years to follow and articulated our vision for the future.
A New Moment is the result of a year-long process grounded in study, prayer and theological reflection as it incorporates the journeys in faith of Catholic Charities agency directors, national office colleagues, members of the board of directors and many others engaged in the ministry of charity, mercy and compassion who accompany us in this sacred work.
As Catholic Charities today, we are called to be both Good Samaritans and good Innkeepers.
