Summary Description: The Project Coordinator, Government Relations supports the Catholic Charities USA Government Relations Team by planning and overseeing department initiatives, coordinating departmental operations, executing special projects, maintaining consistency in communications and supporting interdepartmental coordination.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage, track and execute government relations special projects relevant to CCUSA’s priorities and needs.
  • Manage cross-functional collaborations with marcomm to draft memos, one-pagers, policy briefs, social media posts, and other print and digital materials that can be used to support, promote and communicate priorities.
  • Coordinate the operations of the government relations department in collaboration with the department Vice President.
  • Ensure all new projects and proposals are consistent with agency mission and within the departmental budget and timeline.
  • Serve as primary contact for events and meetings, in coordination with the events team.
  • Schedule and prepare for meetings with appropriate briefing documents, leave-behinds and proper follow-up.
  • Ensure that engagements between government relations staff and policymakers are tracked and documented as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:    

  • BS/BA (or equivalent experience) in related field
  • Three to five years of experience in project management, non-profit, or related fields required.
  • Project Management Certification and/or tools a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This position may require extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitive movements, bending and repetitive lifting of minimal weight.
