Go and tell
When Jesus tells his disciples to share what they hear and see, I am reminded that stories of humanity and hope have the power to inspire and transform us.
Every day at Catholic Charities, we encounter firsthand the struggles of our neighbors. The ministry of Catholic Charities is not simply social service but a continuation of Christ’s healing presence—bringing His light into places of pain, need, and transformation.
Much like the signs Jesus names in the Gospel, our ministry reflects tangible acts of mercy: the hungry are fed, individuals without shelter find safety and warmth, those battling addiction are accompanied with compassion and support on their journey to sobriety, and countless others experience care that affirms their dignity.
Jesus also speaks of the good news, reminding us that hope is as essential as material healing and support. For those we serve, as well as those who support and witness our service, Catholic Charities’ presence and commitment represent hope in action.
We hope that when others share “what they hear and see” in the work of Catholic Charities, they witness a ministry rooted in mercy, carrying forward the healing mission of Christ in our world by responding with love, dignity, and compassion.
