Leaders of the Circle of Protection, including Catholic Charities USA President Sister Donna Markham, have called on the 2016 presidential candidates to answer the question:
“What would you do as president to offer help and opportunity to hungry and poor people in the United States and around the world?”
So far, seven candidates have explained their vision for ending poverty and creating opportunity by submitting a video to the Circle of Protection.
While we do not endorse any specific candidate, political party, or policy proposal in these videos, Catholic Charities USA will work with all leaders, candidates and political parties to identify new and improved ways to design and deliver social welfare services that help persons and families to live in dignity.
