CCUSA, USCCB send letter to Congress regarding FY2017 appropriations

Catholic Charities USA and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops sent a joint letter to the Senate and House of Representatives urging all members to remember those who are needy and vulnerable in our society during the appropriations process. Both organizations welcomed the bipartisan support for programs that feed the hungry and provide affordable housing, and they encouraged the same support for other programs with a proven history of helping people who are poor.
