CCUSA and CHA comment on proposed changes to Medicaid eligibility

Catholic Charities USA and the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA) submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on proposed rulemaking to streamline the Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program, and Basic Health Program application, eligibility determination, enrollment and renewal process. CHA and CCUSA, guided by the singular mission of serving the poor, marginalized and underserved, provide health and social services to millions of individuals, many of whom are part of the Medicaid and CHIP program.

Finalizing the proposed policy changes will aid the many beneficiaries we serve. The comment letter encourages CMS to work closely with states to set implementation dates for the policies.
