Come join our fast paced two sided program focusing on returning families to pre pre-disaster state or better, and the volunteer and material needs for all 7 unique CCCTX programs.

The AmeriCorps VISTA will design, develop, and implement an inventory tracking system for all 5 Catholic Charities of Central Texas locations. CCCTX receives more than 500,000 material donations annually and the VISTA will be responsible for organizing, accepting, processing, and inventorying all in kind donations with the support of the Volunteer In Kind Coordinator. Create an inventory list of 4 Austin storage units, 1 Austin donation center, 1 Waco unit, 1 Killeen donation center, and 1 Bryan unit. Divide items based on the program they belong to (Immigration, Refugee, Disaster Response, Financial stability, Pregnancy and parenting, Veteran Services, and Counseling). Work with the In-Kind Volunteer Coordinator to quantify the number of material donations received monthly. Identify who the material donation donors are, what products they donate, and the monetary value of the donated items. Compile and record the data collected.

This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA’s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.
