On May 25, 2026, Catholic Charities USA President and CEO Kerry Alys Robinson released the following statement in reaction to the publication of Magnifica Humanitas, the first encyclical of Pope Leo XIV’s pontificate:

The Holy Father has reminded us that technological advancements always should be made in service of human dignity and human flourishing.
