Summary Description: CCUSA has identified six regions composed of USCCB episcopal regions to engage, listen to, support, and connect with network membership agencies. The Regional Coordinator serves as a “strategic network facilitator” to provide best practices, resources, and convening services for agencies in the identified region. The Regional Coordinator possesses individual gifts, skills, and expertise to share with other Regional Coordinators, the CCUSA staff, and the Catholic Charities network.
CCUSA Regions:
- Region 1 (Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, California, Hawaii, Alaska, American Samoa, Guam)
- Region 2 (Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas)
- Region 3 (North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri)
- Region 4 (Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio)
- Region 5 (Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands)
- Region 6 (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead strategies to help build regional membership engagement and support member agencies in their collective action through consultation, lifting best practices, and capacity building support.
- Promote targeted CCUSA services and peer-to-peer agency mentoring/sharing to generate greater adoption of “models that work” across the network.
- Advocate for the needs and priorities of their region, ensuring that local concerns are considered in decision-making.
- Coordinate local regional convening and member agency trainings in conjunction with the CCUSA Convening department and other relevant CCUSA Teams.
- Host frequent and timely “listening” synodal processes in the region with appropriate member agency leadership to ascertain needs, resources, assets, and analysis of the relevance of the work.
- Utilize CCConnect or other appropriate technology to organize and support their region, along with CCUSA staff responsible for various Communities of Practice.
- Act as regional support liaison to the CCUSA Disaster Operations Team as needed during crisis in the region.
- Support the CCUSA Data Analysis Team as needed with regional reporting efforts.
- Manage related and other duties as assigned to support CCUSA’s regional membership support model.

- Active listening skills and ability to synthesize dialogues, learnings, and insights.
- Ability to work alone, and with groups, to develop action plans and responses.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings and adapt strategies accordingly.
Formación y experiencia:
- Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience
- Minimum of seven years of experience in a membership based non-profit organization
- Work experience in social or health services with special attention to poverty and/or the social factors of health and well-being preferred
- Work experience in a Catholic institution preferred

- Relocation or ability to live in REGION 1
- Ability to travel to respective regions as necessary (up to 30% travel)
