Robert Wood Johnson Foundation awards CCUSA $4 million for humanitarian COVID aid

Sister Donna Markham OP, PhD, president and CEO of Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA), announced that CCUSA received a $4 million grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as part of its $50 million effort to provide humanitarian aid to help families and communities feeling the greatest strain under the COVID-19 health emergency.

“This grant will assist our agencies across the United States with funds to continue services to the most vulnerable people in our communities,” Sr. Markham said. “So many are experiencing desperate situations because of loss of jobs and income during the crisis. This money will help us provide much-needed food, emergency housing support and access to telehealth.”
