CCUSA, USCCB urge support for legislation protecting religious freedom

In a letter to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) offered their support for the Lifting Local Communities Act (S. 75). The senator’s proposed legislation honors and ensures the protection of religious freedom for faith-based organizations and their work and ministry to serve people in need. CCUSA and USCCB urge Sen. Rubio’s colleagues to sign on as cosponsors of this bill.
