CCUSA, others comment on proposed HUD housing assistance programs ruling

Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) joins the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), and the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA) in sharing grave concerns on the proposed rule making by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) concerning the eligibility for covered housing assistance programs. The Catholic Church teaches that access to safe, decent, and affordable housing is a fundamental human right. The rule would have grave consequences for families, vulnerable communities, and the organizations that serve them.
