Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) is committed to eradicating poverty and racism; overlapping threats to the common good.
Every day, Catholic Charities agencies serve individuals and families who struggle with the combined, and often inseparable, ills of racism and poverty. Racism is both a cause of poverty and a barrier for those seeking to escape poverty. In order to effectively reduce poverty, we must be agents of racial justice.
We hope everyone will begin a process for change by first learning about the issues, reflecting on our own personal experiences, and recommitting ourselves to addressing the issue of racism and poverty.
Racial Equality Diversity Interest (REDI) Section
The REDI Section is open to staff from Catholic Charities agencies and affiliates interested in promoting an understanding and appreciation for diversity and racial equality in our institutions. MLK Mass and Awards
CCUSA presents the Keep the Dream Alive Award annually to national figures who inspire the nation to keep the dream of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. alive through their life work of reducing poverty in America.
