Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) serves as a source of revenue and cost-saving benefits to its agency members.
Cost Saving Partnerships
CCUSA has entered into agreements or partnered on agreements to provide discounted services to Catholic Charities Member Agencies and Supporting Group Members. These benefits of membership range from discounts on accreditation to group purchasing of supplies and food to insurance.
For those organizations with neither the time nor staff to conduct thorough supplier evaluations, CCUSA members look to the National Office for providing recommendations and discounts.

Combined Federal Campaign
When federal workers contribute through payroll deductions, your diocesan agency can benefit two ways. If your agency has locally applied and been approved, you directly receive funds pledged to your agency. Secondly, any funds designated to CCUSA from a diocesan agency’s region(s) are offered back to fair-share member agencies through a grant process as per the Board of Trustees policy of 1990.
CCUSA has also been approved as a national charity in the Combined Federal Campaign. Your local agency may also be listed in the CFC under the local charity section of the book. The CFC is the only approved workplace fundraising campaign for federal employees.

CARE Scholarships—Leadership Institute & Annual Gathering
The National Member Service Center began awarding scholarships to its annual Leadership Institute in 1995. These scholarships are awarded to people of color by our Committee for the Advancement of Racial Equality (CARE).
CARE has awarded scholarships to a total of 77 applicants. Two of these scholarship awardees became agency directors, one an acting director, one now serves on CCUSA’s board, and three are current representatives on CARE. Additionally, CARE has awarded scholarships to people of color to participate in the Annual Gathering in previous years.
Educational Grant—Regis University
The Regis program is funded by the Thomas and Erma Jean Tracy Foundation. Staff from our member agencies can take up to four courses online from Regis University in the area of nonprofit management. Students completing the courses get a certificate, and the courses count towards a masters’ degree in nonprofit management. Full tuition will be paid for those students who are accepted.
