Seeking Local Agency Applicants: Social Venture Boot Camp
CCUSA is excited to announce it is accepting nominations for the Social Venture Boot Camp — an opportunity for our members to come together to face the pressing challenges associated with sustainability head-on. In partnership with the University of Notre Dame’s Gigot Center for Entrepreneurship at the Mendoza College of Business, we are seeking applications from local agencies only, for social ventures in various stages of development.

Conducting a self-assessment is a good first step in the development of a long-term and integrated agency cultural competence plan. In this session, the presenters will share an assessment process to assist agencies in identifying strengths and weaknesses in their responses to the needs of culturally diverse clients and give one example from an agency that has successfully done so.  Register here.

Thursday, July 25, 3pm EST:  Coordinated Assistance Network (CAN) Webinar
Disaster relief agencies, whether national or local, in many occasions do not have a unified way of sharing information with one another. While each agency might have a high degree of information management competence within its own sphere, they are not able to fluently share data. Ultimately, this meant that the people who need help the most in the wake of a natural or man-made disaster were left to their own devices to find a way through the web of relief services offered. To ease this burden, the Coordinated Assistance Network (CAN) was established.  Register here.
