Reflection Series

2010 Lenten Reflections

Lent is a time of spiritual renewal and growth in our relationship with God. Whatever one might choose in terms of spiritual and personal growth, the end goal is ultimately a stronger, more vibrant relationship with God and our neighbor.

To assist with your observance of Lent, Catholic Charities USA has developed daily reflections on the scripture readings of the season. Members across the CCUSA network volunteered to write these reflections.

2009 Advent Reflections

Through the celebration of Advent, we take time amidst all the busyness of the season to reflect upon God’s presence in human history: past, present and future. As the days become shorter and darkness prevails, we begin to long for light. We see this light in the coming of Jesus at Christmas.

Members across the CCUSA network volunteered to write these daily reflections. We believe that adds a personal touch and connection between the daily scripture readings and the work of our agencies.

Please note that the authors' names and email addresses are listed at the end of each reflection so feel free to contact them to share your thoughts on the readings or reflections.

Reflections on Mission and Poverty

This series is meant to be practical.  Each reflection is designed to be used by Catholic Charities agency staff to further their understanding of mission and to learn how to integrate the mission of the agency into their individual work.
