CCUSA to Participate in White House’s Roundtable on Combating Hunger

Washington, DC—On Thursday, March 13, Catholic Charities USA will join U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer and the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives for a Compassion in Action Roundtable entitled, “Faith-Based and Community Solutions to Hunger at Home and Abroad.”

Jedd Medefind will convene the discussion highlighting impacts of federal partnerships with faith-based and community organizations to provide children and low-income people access to food, a healthful diet, and nutrition education. Additionally, the roundtable will focus on innovative policies and partnerships to alleviate hunger abroad.
