Catholic Charities work to reduce poverty, promote human dignity, support families, and empower communities. In 2008 Catholic Charities across the nation provided help and created hope for 8,522,997 (unduplicated) people regardless of their religious, social or economic backgrounds.

In all, 171 main Catholic Charities agencies, which included 1,668 branches and affiliates, provided an array of vital community-based services 13,887,583 times.
