Catholic Charities USA Welcomes New Board Members

Alexandria, VA–Catholic Charities USA, the 170-member national human services organization committed to cutting poverty in half by 2020–welcomes four new members to its Board of Trustees. The following four individuals were elected to the Board as independent trustees during its recent quarterly meeting.

  • Charles C. Cornelio
    Senior Vice President, Lincoln Financial Group, Greensboro, NC
  • Lloyd H. Dean
    President and CEO, Catholic Healthcare West, San Francisco, California
  • Elida M. El-Gawly
    Director of Grants and Community Investments for Religious Institute, Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Houston, TX
  • Dr. Carolyn Yauyan Woo
    Martin J. Gillen Dean of the College of Business Administration, Ray and Milann Siegfried Professor of Management, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana

Catholic Charities USA’s Trustees include agency representatives elected by its Council of Diocesan Directors, independent persons, participating observers and non-voting trustees, including an Episcopal Liaison from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
