Centennial Leadership Summit
March 25, 2010, Nashville, TN

Across the country, poverty is on the rise: children are hungry, veterans are homeless, and families are working, but barely getting by.

Policy-makers, community leaders and people of good will joined Catholic Charities USA in a one-day interactive forum to find effective solutions to the injustice of poverty in America. As a nation we must seize this opportunity to promote changes that promote human dignity and the common good.

Why We Care

In 2010, our centennial year, we celebrate members’ work to bring dignity and respect to all people and advocate the broader community to live a life of justice and social concern. It is also a time to plan for the next 100 years. We need your help as we continue to work to reduce the threat of poverty in America.

Catholic Charities USA will host 8 Centennial Leadership Summits across the country leading up to our historic September 25-28 Centennial Gathering in Washington, DC. We invite you to join us on this journey as we:

  • Empower individuals to move out of poverty
  • Recognize and learn from effective local poverty reduction programd
  • Advocate for public policy that addresses systemic causes of poverty
  • Invite citizens to live a life of justice and social concern
  • Celebrate work that brings dignity and respect to all people
