Catholic Charities USA Board Member and Centennial Committee Chair Addresses 2009 United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Meeting
Alexandria, VA—Kathleen Flynn Fox, a member of the Catholic Charities USA Board of Directors and Chair of its Centennial Committee, addressed today members of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in Baltimore at a meeting held in conjunction with the organization’s annual conference.
Ms. Flynn Fox, of Silver Fox Partners, updated the Bishops on the major plans for 2010 to celebrate and recognize the Centennial of Catholic Charities USA, including a series of regional summits, Catholic Charities USA Sunday on September 26, 2010, and the significant events and speakers for CCUSA’s 2010 Centennial Gathering in Washington, DC.
“The Bishops have supported and endorsed this historic event as we have been planning it for the past two years. Now the Centennial has begun and we look forward to updating them to enlist their support for our key initiatives,” Ms. Flynn Fox said. “Not only will the year celebrate our members’ work to bring dignity and respect to all people, but it will launch our next century of commitment to reduce poverty in America.” Rev. Larry Snyder, President of Catholic Charities USA, who also addressed the Bishops at the meeting, commended Ms. Fox for her extraordinary commitment to her voluntary leadership role.
